Our cozy little subreddit has hit a population of 500,000 users. But there is a terrifying enemy lurking just outside of the walls of our collective awareness: Leukemia, lymphoma, and other devastating cancers. When we hit 100k users, we announced we would be running a charity drive, and it has continued to this day.
The potato plan fell through, so allow me this selfishness: I have a good friend who has fought through stage 4 lymphoma three times (UPDATE 2021: She has unfortunately just relapsed for the fifth time), and I personally had several enlarged lymph nodes removed at the end of 2017 in what we thought was likely lymphoma. Together we decided this was the best charity to help fight back, and put an end to this disease once and for all.
In addition to donating, please consider registering at bethematch.org or dkms.org to be a potential lifesaving stem cell donor! This is a much more direct way to save someone's life!
