The 2018 Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ National Conference is upon us! Last year was an INCREDIBLE experience for the Rovitos. We are grateful for all of the support and are stoked to sustain the momentum going into the 2018/2019 season. This year, we feel empowered and prepared for God's reach to be impactful in new and exciting ways. Familiar leaders and new curious hearts will be making the voyage from the Northeast out to Breckenridge to be filled and learn more about this divinely ordained movement.
Hold up. What is SFC again?
Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ USA (SFC USA) is a grassroots organization that exists to bridge the ski/snowboard culture to Jesus, partnering with the local Church. SFC’s vision is to be the light of Jesus in the ski/snowboard culture. SFC USA leaders believe God’s Word calls them to find their identity in Jesus, to engage those within their culture through genuine, loving relationships and to do selfless acts for others as they share the Gospel message. This is on an international level as well. SFC USA is part of a growing movement across the globe! To find out more about this go to www.sfc.international. Back to the vision of why we are here.
This November 15th through the 18th will be the 2018 SFC USA National Conference. This event promises to be the most important weekend of the year for an SFCer getting equipped for a long season of shred ministry. It’s a time to make new friends, get pumped up on shred ministry and gather ideas to bring back home from the rest of the SFC crew in your town. This is a work weekend for us: Mitch will be leading as well as learning, praying, and worshiping with the northeast region and beyond. In equal importance, this will be a vital time for Brielle to dive in as a leader among the SFC community serving and mentoring women, while experiencing God's movement (want more details on the event? Head to: https://sfcusa.org/conference and https://vimeo.com/288270757).
So why are we here?
We are in need of your partnership. Our resources are maxed out these days with all of the changes and local commitments we are continuing to prioritize. In November, we need to transport ourselves from Burlington, VT to Denver, CO to organize, lead, and support this global team. This is a channel for sharing the specific financial needs. Expenses include our conference fees, personal travel expenses, meals, and support for the northeast region. This is our second journey into the SFC mission field as a married couple, and we feel more prepared than ever. 2017 was a beautiful, challenging, and informative season of serving God together here in Vermont. The relationships and growth through the conference helped us create amazing connections and mentorship throughout the winter and beyond.
This is the breakdown of expenses we are asking your help in supporting:
$60 Round trip bag fees for gear to lead on the slopes during the conference
$200 Blessing those along the way (service tips, taking leaders & families for coffee, etc)
$300 Meals while traveling, meals during the National Leaders' Meeting the day prior to the conference, meals during the conference, misc groceries for the region and lodging suite

Will you help support us in our journey with a donation and prayer, and share this vision with your community?
Please be praying for us, the leaders in the northeast, nationally, globally, and most importantly, the skiers and riders who do not know the love of God and who put their identity in a temporal happiness and culture. May they experience the unconditional love, acceptance, and purpose of a life trusting in Jesus.
