As a part of the Pat Tillman Foundation, Team Tillman is a group of military and civilian athletes competing globally to honor Pat and keep his tenacious spirit alive through sport. At first glance, the Pat Tillman Foundation provides scholarships to military members and spouses. As a 2017 Tillman Scholar, I have found that the sense of community rooted in service beyond self, scholarship and curiosity, humble leadership, and impact is what makes this organization unlike any other. This is why my team and I want to give back to this community, to help build the foundation for future scholars and invest in their future impact.
