Help us preserve a beautiful community space at the Burton Homestead!
The creative "dragon" cob bench at the Burton Homestead has been a community effort, and we are close to getting it protected and permitted so everyone can enjoy it for years to come!
If you value this space, please contribute to help purchase cedar wood shingles
Weekend work party Sept 29-30, 9am to 6pm both days (we need nail guns!)
Thank you to everyone who has helped make this space happen! Thanks to Yuba Village for putting on the Village Building Convergence! Big thanks to Matt Berry for spearheading the project, Sequoia Sun for his cob building expertise, and Ben Jordan P.E. for all his engineering expertise and help with permitting. Thanks for all the materials donated: Hal with his mill and all the planks he made, Michael Funk for most of the milled and pole ponderosa pine lumber, and Ben at Zaphaul for free delivery of sand. Thanks to the many folks involved who got their hands muddy, rolled some big rocks around, or hammered a nail. It truly was a community supported project!
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to help out either Sept 29 or 30th.
