Hello friends and family,
I am fundraising to make a return trip to Quito Ecuador this summer, where I will again be volunteering with the Range of Motion Project. For those who are not aware of ROMP, they are an international non-profit organization working to address the gap in access to prosthetic care for people with amputation in the Western Hemisphere. They provide high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care through their permanent clinical operations in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the United States. While there, I will again be working alongside their local staff, O&P practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physiatrists, and other students to provide integrated care to patients and exchange knowledge and techniques.
The last two years of working with ROMP has been by far the most significant influence and benefit to my education in entering this new career field. My volunteer clinical care trips, collecting prosthetic donations for the Components for a Cause program, and helping organize Climbing for ROMP events have become a positive and rewarding part of my life.
My goal is to raise $2,700 by August. The first $1500 will cover my program fee with ROMP, and the additional $1200 is to cover my traveling expense. Any amount raised past this point will go to ROMP and put to good use. Donations of any amount are welcome and appreciated, every $ counts. Thank you for your Help and Support Danny
