The Killer Bees and the Winner School are teaming up with Neuroworx to make a difference! We feel it is vital to teach our students the importance of community, helping others, giving, and caring! In efforts to teach these valuable characteristics, we will be working hard to fundraise as much as we can until May 30th, to help the Utah Rush roll into summer camps at Universities with NCAA wheelchair basketball programs.
The Utah Rush are a competitive wheelchair basketball team comprised of boys and girls, ages 10-18 with lower limb disabilities. As a registered team of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, they are required to compete in at least 4 tournaments a year to qualify for an annual national tournament. On top of travel expenses, these players require specialty equipment amounting thousands of dollars. This fundraiser is in place to raise awareness, support, and funding for the Utah Rush. Through national competitive play, these athletes gain attention from NCAA Division I programs. Several Utah Rush players have received scholarships to play wheelchair basketball at major universities. All donations are tax deductible through Neuroworx, a partnering 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
