Please Help Gene Cycle to Celebrate our VirtualTrax Programs with Youth Clubhouses across New York State
Seeking 400 donors x $100/per donation to service VirtualTrax at 8 Youth Clubhouses
Goals: Awareness, Celebration and Sustainability for Youth VirtualTrax Programs
Rock-N-Ride is a 150+ mile cycling ride led by Road Recovery founder Gene Bowen to directly impact thousands of at-risk and stay-at-home youth through the sustenance and support of Road Recovery’s VirtualTrax Program in partnership with NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).
In September 2020 during National Recovery Month, Bowen will embark on a 2-day cycling journey from New York City to Albany to meet with the Commissioner of OASAS. Bowen will also have a supply of hand sanitizer donated by Bausch Health and youth clothing donated by Vanilla Star Jeans that will be personally delivered to participating OASAS-supported Youth Clubhouses across New York State. The effort is to celebrate Road Recovery's VirtualTrax Program partnership and share needed supplies with isolated, stay-at-home and at-risk youth directly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since 2008, Road Recovery's annual Rock-N-Ride cycling campaign has provided a lifeline of financial support for its youth Trax Programs and community outreach events. In building on the momentum of Rock-N-Ride 2019, the 2020 fundraising goal is $40,000, which will allow Road Recovery to present VirtualTrax Programs for youth and young adults engaged with statewide Youth Clubhouses. Let's join forces for a bicycle ride that can again make a difference in the lives of our precious youth!
