Rock-N-Ride 2019 (Sept 2019)
Please Help Gene Cycle to Celebrate our 7 Road Recovery Trax Program Sites throughout New York State
Seeking 70 donors x $100/per donation x 7 Trax Program Sites = $7,000 to support community outreach services
Rock-N-Ride 2019 is a week-long cycling event that hits the road on September 19, 2019, visiting all 7 Road Recovery Trax Program locations across New York State. Road Recovery founder and avid cyclist Gene Bowen once again leads the event, which celebrates the charity's program expansion and raises awareness about the non-profit’s dedicated ‘peer support’ staff. Road Recovery is a partner with youth-serving organizations hosting each Trax Program and Rock-N-Ride visit, all committed to supporting young people battling addiction and other adversities. Burlington, Kingsbury Family Fund return again as corporate financial sponsors, and Vanilla Star Jeans will again sponsor the donation of clothing and merchandise for youth and young adults participating in Trax Programs during Rock-N-Ride.

Thanks to prior sponsorship support of Burlington, Kingsbury Family Fund and Vanilla Star Jeans, Rock-N-Ride's 2018 campaign was an overwhelming success reaching thousands of at-risk youth at Youth Clubhouses and via social media! Led by Gene Bowen, the take action non-profit launched a state-wide cycling odyssey of over 1,000 miles to engage 11 Youth Clubhouses operated by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to bring awareness of youth services including the Youth Voices Matter-NY recovery movement. The success of Rock-N-Ride 2018 led to the expansion of Road Recovery's acclaimed peer support Trax Programs, now serving at-risk youth in 7 different locations throughout New York State. To maintain momentum in reaching at-risk youth, Road Recovery continues with Rock-N-Ride 2019 to realize awareness, celebration and fundraising.
Since 2008, Road Recovery's annual summer Rock-N-Ride cycling campaign has provided a lifeline of financial support for its youth Trax Programs and community outreach events. In building on the momentum of Rock-N-Ride 2018, the 2019 goal is to raise and exceed $25,000, which will allow Road Recovery to reach 1000 youth and young adults through all of Road Recovery's Trax Programs and outreach events this year. Let's join forces for a bicycle ride that can again make a difference in the lives of our precious youth!
