Hi! Thank you for being here. My name is Robbie and I am here to fundraise and spread awareness to address the severe poverty in Menelas, Haiti. I'll be running in Work's 6th Annual Run Across Haiti. It's an adventure ultramarathon, 200+ miles in 7 days, from the North Shore to the South Coast of Haiti. With your help, I am a first-hand witness to the incredible, positive change that's happening in one of the world's poorest cities. At Work, we strive to create dignified job opportunities for our Haitian families. We provide job creation, training and placement as well as healthcare, and education for the families we serve.
It's really hard to tell you in words, how your donation dollars are making a difference. I know there are so many organizations and places out there that you can be supporting. I hope that you trust that if I am making an investment of personal time, dollars, and my physical well-being, that this cause needs more attention, and is worth every ounce of energy we've put into it.
Since 2015, the Run Across Haiti has broadened perspectives around the world as a place to be explored and celebrated. Through the efforts of runners and crew, it has also generated over $1,000,000 to support our work to end poverty through dignified jobs. We're proud to have Work family members on the staff of the Run, leading the charge as we welcome more ultra runners and supporters to Haiti. As an economic contributor, the Run provided 245 work days and contributed $90,736 to the local tourism industry in 2018. You can support my campaign by making a financial donation to this page. Part of my duty as a charity runner is to spread the word, as much as I can, so your help in sharing this page with your own networks would be so, so helpful.
