On Tuesday, July 17th, I will be participating in a swim-a-thon with all funds going towards research to learn more about ALS and find a cure. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a disease that affects nerves in the brain and spinal cord, causing the brain to gradually lose the ability to send messages to your muscles, paralyzing not just arms and legs but also muscles like the lungs and heart. As of now, it is fatal, but scientists are working tirelessly to understand ALS and fight it. Each day, research funds like these have enabled more and more breakthroughs- we are now closer to a cure than ever. Even if it is only five or ten dollars, your collective contributions CAN make a difference and save lives!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and sponsor me! It means so much to me and my community that you have chosen to help.
