The Rohingya people, a Muslim-minority group, are currently facing systematic persecution in Myanmar. This has resulted in the forced migration of more than a million Rohingya refugees to Bangladesh. The UN describes this Rohingya Refugee Crisis as "a textbook example of ethnic cleansing". They are in urgent need of help.
The Rise for Rohingya campaign’s aim is to spread awareness of the Rohingya crisis and raise funds to help the most vulnerable segments of the Rohingya Camps, which we have identified to be children and pregnant women.
All donations raised will go to funding projects that will support:
(1) educational initiatives for Rohingya children in refugee camps
(2) medical treatment for patients suffering from the crisis
To help realize these commitments we have partnered with the Jaajo Foundation and Doctors Without Borders (MSF), trusted international non-profits.
The Catalyst Foundation for Universal Education has generously agreed to match all funds raised by the Rise for Rohingya campaign for Rohingya refugee children up to $20,000 for educational purposes.
We are working with Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAF) to help facilitate donations to charities working outside the USA. All donations raised through this CrowdRise campaign will go to our fund at CAF, from which we will allocation funds to our partners for our causes helping the Rohingya people.
All donations are tax deductible. You will receive tax receipts shortly after donations are made.
