My beautiful dog, Rio, is running to be “Dog of the Year” for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of St. Louis. In 2015, I (Rio's Mom) was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s and am happy to report that I am still in remission. 2020 is that magic 5 year mark that considers one to be “cured”. So what does Rio have to do with all of this? Well, did you know that dogs and humans are 85% genetically similar and that over a million canines are diagnosed with lymphoma every year? Rio is raising money to help find a lymphoma cure not only for us humans but for her canine brethren! Please donate to help Rio (a.k.a “My Beauty”) to become "Dog of the Year" and give hope to the thousands of humans and millions of our fur kids diagnosed with lymphoma.
