As a member of the Board of Directors, I wanted to update you in the progress of the Right Care Now Project (RCNP), a 501(c)3 that is working hard to create data-driven tools that improve the health and safety of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Visit our website for more information: rightcarenowproject.org
Now in its 5th year, the program has established methods to chart functioning, health and daily activities. This information is used to detect serious and often missed health problems, and to make sure that doctors and caregivers address these issues quickly and correctly. The team is also working on technologies to detect sexual abuse in the IDD community, prevent further abuse, and assure proper treatment.
This important project is made possible by generous donations from those who understand that, by working together, its possible to end the unnecessary suffering people with IDD experience because they cannot communicate their health and safety issues, or cannot find a doctor who can properly care for them.
I’d like to ask you to consider a tax deductible donation of any size to help scale this program to reach everyone who needs it.
