Two years in a row must mean a new tradition! The second annual Ride Around Vashon (RAV) bike ride is a go for 2021 - as riders take to Vashon Island, WA to bike and raise support for Dwankhozi Hope. Once again, we Ride For Hope!
On August 14, 2021, a group of bike riders will ferry across to Vashon Island for a daylong ride to carry on this great tradition. Last year's Covid-19 restrictions kept us from the longer-standing tradition of riding north in the RSVP ride to Vancouver, BC - but there is a great team forming again this year who are jazzed and ready to take on the winding, hilly route of Vashon.
We cannot mention a bike ride in support of Dwankhozi Hope without paying respects to our dear founder and friend, Charles Masala, who passed away two years ago. We miss him greatly. All of our riders and supporters, near and far, carry his legacy again this year - as a avid bicyclist, an unwavering dreamer, and a generous soul who desired to see his Zambian community thrive. This year's bike ride once again is raising money for the Dwankhozi community in Zambia, through Dwankhozi Hope - the organization Charles helped start over a decade ago.
