You know how much the Rhoades Family loves a good bike ride, and now we have the opportunity to bike for a good cause!
All 4 of us will ride for 12 miles on the GAP Trail on Labor Day Weekend to raise money for Haiti H2O's Corn Grinder Project. This project will empower women, provide jobs and feed families.
Our family will match the first $125 in donations.
Please read on to learn more. Thank you for considering!
8 hours a day
32 hours a month
384 hours a year will be saved by the women in Bassin Caiman when they are able to grind the corn they grow in their communities instead of walking to a nearby communitiy that has a corn grinder.
A local Corn Grinder Micro-business will improve the quality of life for the women and families of BassinCaiman. This business will also grow the economic potential of the local area by creating jobs for local residents to operate, maintain, and manage the Corn Grinderbusinessas well as expand the capacity forselling ground corn locally. Currently they must carry their corn 4 miles to the next closest grinding facility. The women grind locally grown corn into flourto provide many staple foods fortheir families.
Support the women of Bassin Caiman - we know the value of getting a few more minutes back in our day - lets give the women back 16 days a year (time saved walking) donate today!
