I am sure you heard the tragic news a few weeks ago -- the death of Sudan, the last surviving male northern white rhino. This sad news has inspired me to once again to tell you about a remarkable project, Rhinos Without Borders, an effort to move 100 rhinos from areas in South Africa where they are heavily poached to safe havens in Botswana. Rhinos are being killed at an alarming rate -- about one every seven hours -- and this relocation will make a real difference in saving the species. Many of you were instrumental in helping to move the first rhinos in January 2015, and now we need your help with just 23 rhinos to go! Please help in any way you can.
