Our program is fueled by volunteer parents and coaches who want to promote lacrosse in the district of Rush Henrietta. Our goal is to build our youth through the sport of lacrosse in the towns of Rush and Henrietta. We offer a number of programs year-round, from our instructional Spring and Fall programs to our more competitive Summer tournaments and Winter Indoor seasons, we cater to all youth girls and boys interested in learning the game, and provide several educational opportunities to aid in that learning.
One of the biggest challenges that we face residing in Western NY, is field conditions and weather challenges during our prime season. Our school district is the only district in the county that does not have an artificial turf field, therefore during those soggy early spring days, we are forced to find indoor turf space to rent for practices for all of our teams from the youth through our scholastic levels. We also rent space at indoor turf facilities for our winter indoor programs. As you can image indoor turf rental is expensive. In fact, it is by far the biggest expense we face each year and those rental costs only continue to rise.
We are looking for help to offset these costs. Currently the rental costs are passed on to our parents, which limits some families from participating in lacrosse. Without funds to pay for indoor turf, our scholastic program is forced to cancel practice or to utilize gym space which severely limits the growth of the team and ability to compete with other teams in our league. Sponsorships and donations help to keep our programs growing and enable our coaches to focus on the athletes and teaching them the game of lacrosse.
A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated and would help building the Rush Henrietta Lacrosse program at all levels.
