"How You Can Help Continue The Fight From Home.
It’s a global priority to try to stop the spread of COVID-19. Yet, cancer patients still need you. They still need us. Because cancer research can’t stop. Our 24/7 helpline can’t stop. Where we can, we’re continuing our services to get patients the care and support they need. Because cancer doesn’t stop. So neither do we. Here are a few ways that you can contribute to help ensure these critically important programs, and more like them, will continue throughout the pandemic.
- Check With Your Local Event: Continue to visit your local Relay event site for specific updates and information on engaging with your event during this time.
- Join Our Virtual Event: At our virtual Relay USA event on April 25, we will show the world we can stand together even when we’re apart.
- Donate Today: We need you to continue the fight against cancer. Please consider a donation now because it’s critical our work continues for cancer patients. If you are mailing in a donation check for Relay For Life of Central Bucks Middle Schools, please make check payable to the American Cancer Society and include:
“RFL Central Bucks Middle Schools, PA KRQZTP” in the memo line on the check and mail to the local office at 1818 Market Street, Suite 2820, Phila, PA 19103. Also, if mailing in a check, please notify your staff partner, Brianna Amato at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can credit your fundraising page accordingly.
The American Cancer Society is very concerned about COVID 19 and will continue to respond accordingly as the situation evolves. Based on current guidance and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to suspend all in person American Cancer Society Relay For Life events from March through mid May 2020. The safety of our volunteers, patients and staff always comes first. The COVID 19 situation remains uncertain and fluid and our goal is to respond in a way that best meets the health and safety needs of those who rely on us. We will continue to follow all Federal, State and Local recommendations on COVID 19.
Our mission matters more than ever. The needs of people facing cancer continue and so will the work of the American Cancer Society.
We appreciate your understanding and patience in this stressful time, and your continued support and dedication to the American Cancer Society’s mission.
