RESTORE" Returning from the Edge, Spiritual Transformation Opportunities through Relational Engagement, is a ministry and help system for the "HOMELESS!" Through this ministry Brian seeks to help ministry leaders build their capacity for their ministry, perform training for volunteers to learn how to minister to people who are experiencing homelessness and lead Bible discussions.
A 2017 report by The Boston Foundation says from 2008-2016, Massachusetts experienced one of the largest increases in family homelessness in the country. Children make up 60% of those who are experiencing family homelessness, Massachuesetts. Poverty and homelessness are no longer confined to inner-city neighborhoods.
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission says , "Poverty has become less concentrated in the region's innermost cities (such as Boston), but corresponding increases have occurred in urban communities around the periphery of the core (e.g. Quincy, and Malden) and more distant urban centers (e.g. Lowell, Framingham, and Brockton)." As the number of people living in poverty and homelessness increases in the suburbs and satellite cities of Eastern Massachusetts, the demand for appropriate support grows.
"THIS NUMBER HAS SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASED SINCE COVID-19, THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC OUTBREAK"!
