We are the Resistors BC and we are riding in the 10th annual Tour Du Rouge May 3-8, 2020. This is a 6-day, 537 mile bicycle ride from Houston, TX to New Orleans, LA to support The Arc of Greater Houston. Our riders this year include 2019 alumni Mike McMahon, Pat McMahonPaul East, Patrick Berkebile, and our new team members (all prior TdR riders) David Anthony, Bill Devany, and Skai Shadow.
You can visit our Facebook page to watch our progress during the ride and see team pictures and get information on forthcoming local fundraising events.
We are all very proud to once again be part of Resistors BC, a team of committed riders known for our Neon Pink uniforms. This is our fourth ride in the Tour as a Team.
We are all fully committed to raising funds on behalf of the The Arc and to help achieve its mission to advocate on behalf of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A little bit about The Arc
The Arc is a nationwide non-profit organization formed in 1950 to advocate for the inclusion of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in all aspects of society. The Arc operates at the national, state, and local levels. The Arc works in collaboration with other agencies and organizations to facilitate the development of a wide array of options available to individuals and their families in our community. The Arc is a member-based organization that relies on membership and program fees, contributions from corporations, foundations, individuals, and contracts to implement and expand our programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The Arc has been instrumental in the creation of virtually every program service, right and benefit available to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities across the United States.

We will be working hard to meet and far exceed our individual fundraising goals. The Arc is an important fixture in all of our communities nationwide and that is why we are riding in the Tour du Rouge! We have pledged to raise $20,000 to support the great work of The Arc. We need your help to meet and exceed our goals.
