Save A Dog, located in Sudbury, MA, is a small humane society that values rescuing and rehoming as many dogs as possible. Since 1999, the organization has served as a safe haven for dogs. At first, they began fostering dogs from local and remote dog pounds. Since then, they have expanded their fostering population by working with rural humane societies in the south who are overwhelmed with dogs and justify euthanization. The dogs they receive from these humane societies would most likely have otherwise been put to sleep.
With a lack of space and funding, Save A Dog is limited in the number of dogs they can foster. Fortunately, they have managed to save and provide homes for over 4,300 dogs. However, with 8.3 million pets being euthanized each year, they want to continue growing and saving as many lives as they can. By supporting this campaign you will have a direct impact on their organization and help increase the number of lives they rescue. As a believer in their rescue mission, my goal is to raise at least $1000, and all proceeds will go directly to Save A Dog.
They are currently requesting funds to obtain full ownership of the facility and kennel they are renting, and to introduce a building addition to help advance their work. On top of funding ownership and a building addition, donations will provide for the health and comfort of rescued dogs. Here is an idea of what your contributions can do:
$50 Heartworm Test
$65 One health exam and health certificate - out of state dog
$75 Vaccinations for one adult dog
$85-100 Neuter for one adult dog
$100 Geriatric blood profile for one geriatric dog
$150 Spay for one adult dog
$200 X-rays for one adult dog
$300 Standard medical care for an incoming rescue dog
As a privately funded non-profit organization ran entirely by volunteers, Save A Dog appreciates and encourages any donation. If you would like to support Save A Dog in a way other than financing, you can help by spreading the word and circulating this campaign, volunteering, or visiting the shelter and dropping off supplies! All donations are critical to keep their rescue mission going! Thank you for your support and engagement with this campaign. Without donors, none of this would be possible. Together we can provide dogs with another chance at life.
