Help us rescue dogs and other pets from being euthanized because their families are unemployed, moving, sick or passed away. Veterinary care expenses are what I am most concerned about right now.
Our dog rescues have doubled since COVID-19 became public. Everyone of these latest dogs was enroute to be euthanized. All of them have needed to be neutered or spayed. They've all needed blood work, dentistry, vaccinations, flea treatment, and fecals. Some have needed special vet care and prescription diets to get well. We have a 100% success rate so far,! All these COVID-19 rescued dogs are on their way to new loving homes and second chances. Our veterinarians give us discounts when they can, but the money is draining from our account faster than it's going in. All our money making pet therapy and education programs have been cancelled for this year. We had over 200 programs scheduled,...we did 22 before the virus stopped us from going into nursing homes, schools, and libraries. So, now our place , time, and money needs to serve our community in a different way. The programs may be cancelled, but our sanctuary is not! When people's lives fall apart, their animals are often the first to go.....or can take the brunt of their owner's stress.
We kindly ask that you join us in our rescue efforts by donating what you can for veterinary and animal care expenses. We'll do the rest! Thank you, Friends! Please, stay healthy and be kind to animals, too!
In the end...rescued animals always rescue people!
