Running a non-profit is never an easy task; especially a cat rescue! But we are not a run of the mill shelter. Our cats are living in comfy rooms and cared for very well every day. We play music, have interactive toys and clean each room very thoroughly every day. And, we are all volunteers! No salaries are paid - all money raised goes to the care of the cats and to run our programs.
We are SART! We are in rural Ohio in St. Marys. We have just begun our 18th year and have rescued over 4000. We have adopted almost 3000. If not adopted they live at the shelter. We are very active with TNR and are approaching 850 done. We feed feral cat colonies every night and help people with difficult cat situations.
We raise our funds and are indebted to no one. This year has been very difficult for us. Low donations, low adoptions, and more situations needing our help. At this point of the year we are down $6200 in our donations. We are worried about being able to struggle through. Due to COVID we were not able to have our large fundraisers. With the uncertain economy, our donors are not giving as much. We just need a helping hand to get us over the hump. Will anyone please help?
Currently we have 220 cats and kittens ranging in age from 6 weeks up to 15 years! They depend on us for everything they need. SART cannot let them down!
