This year has had its ups and downs. Several of us have had milestone birthdays and had the privilege of enjoying those celebrations with friends and family. We've been fortunate to have professional and family successes. We have also lived through the kind of tragedy and sadness that no community should face. Through that tragedy, we saw countless glimmers of hope in watching so many incredible organizations provide support, love and allyship throughout our community. We decided to band together for one such organization, Repair the World, Pittsburgh, an organization that embodies the Jewish value of tikkun olam by providing meaningful service opportunities to underserved communities. It's inspired a bunch of us old ladies to dust off our running shoes and create a relay team for the Pittsburgh Marathon on May 5, 2019. We will each run a separate leg of the Marathon and then join together to run the final mile and cross the finish line together. If you are willing and able, please consider making a tax deductible contribution to Repair the World, Pittsburgh through this link in honor of our incredible community and a bunch of 40-somethings who try their darndest to stay in shape.
