Nine years ago, on Valentine’s Day, my grandmother passed away. She had been battling a rare blood disease for a few years. However, once it progressed, she needed experimental drugs for a chance to beat it (She was as tough as they come). The drugs were insanely expensive, the donut hole in insurance came really quick. My family was ready to empty everything we had. After my mother reached out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), they helped pay for the gap for a few years until she passed. The support they gave to try and help my Nana was amazing, and I will never forget it. And now, that I am older and have a chance, I want to give back. I will be livestreaming on my Twitch channel, from March 10th-15th. Streams will take place from 7:30-11:30 PM Est each night.
Nana Fran was my first fan. When I was little, she would sit with me for hours and just watch me play games. Sometimes, she would even pick up a controller and humor me by playing with me; always laughing and enjoying it. Some of the best memories I have are just sitting and laughing with her for hours on end. She meant the world to me and encouraged me to follow whatever path I wanted. Now, years later and in memory of my Nana and my first ever fan, I am throwing my keyboard down and gaming to raise money for an amazing organization. One that had a massive effect on my life and continues to have an effect on many.
So, lets have some fun in memory of Nana! And raise some money so LLS can help a little boy or girl help their loved one fight on!
