My wife, Josephine Loraine Leatherwood (Jo-L), was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She enjoyed teaching and loved all her students. When she was not teaching, you could find her outdoors running, playing tennis, swimming or hiking. Her passion was knowing God and spreading joy to those around her. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer, shortly after we married. Josephine went through multiple brain surgeries and treatments and through it all never ever lost her faith. Her smile not only lit up the room but was contagious to those around her. Josephine took on every challenge with unmatched courage and positivity. Shortly after her last brain surgery, Josephine hiked Tipsoo Lake Trail on Mt. Rainier. This was her last hike before she went home to be with her creator on July 16, 2020. Please join me for the 1st annual Celebration of Life Hike at Tipsoo Lake Trail, Mt. Rainier in remembrance of Josephine and help to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society. All donations go to the American Cancer Society to help find a cure.
