I have many vivid memories of Anna during my younger years. We dove together on a club diving team over many summers and were on the same high school diving team as well. Anna was larger than life, spunky and was a lot of fun; she helped me through so many difficult times in my life and I miss her and think about her a lot. Life without Anna has not been the same, but my hope is that my grieving of Anna's death will help me support others who are hurting and grieving for the loss of thier loved ones.
I currently volunteer with East Bay Agency for Children's Circle of Care program that supports kids and families dealing with a loved one's death because I have had so many friends, like Anna, and loved ones who have died. It is so important to have support and be in community with those who are grieving as well.
East Bay Agency for Children's Circle of Care is a unique program that supports children and their families coping with the death of a loved one. This program helps children heal and learn to cope with this traumatic experience through specialized Support Groups, Crisis Support, Community Trainings and Outreach. Join the Walk to Remember to celebrate the life of someone YOU have loved and lost or to show support for a family you know who is dealing with a life-threatening illness. Money raised through the Walk to Remember fundraising efforts support Circle of Care services ensuring that no child will have to walk their grief journey ALONE.
