My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer at the end of April. Even through she did not suffer long, she lived 3 1/2 months in consist pain. Cancer is not a friend, it was the enemy we wanted to beat. In the beginning it looked hopeful. The doctor said with radiation and chemo she could beat it. A month after finding out about the cancer, it mastisized into her brain, causing her to have slurred speech, and being sick. After a while and many sicknesses and ER visit, there seemed to be no solution. On the good days, she would go to her radiation appts. Those appointments were in the middle of the day, so with the help of the Cancer Society Volunteers she was able to make her appointmentss and I was able to keep working to support our family. The Payson Center which is the Cancer center in Concord, NH was very helpful and always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. So please donate to this helpful cause, and help others in the fight. In lieu of flowers Patty Davis's family would like you to donate to the Cancer Society.
