Relay Iowa is the World's Longest Relay Run! Teams of up to 12 participants run 339 miles to cross Iowa over a long weekend. The relay was created to raise money for Restoring Hope International, an orphanage in Welkom, South Africa. Over the years, Relay Iowa has also been able to give to a variety of other nonprofits, including groups located in the towns along the running route. There are many worthy charities helping making the world a better place so we are honored you would consider donating to this event. No amount is too small to make a difference!
This year we are challenging every runner to commit to fundraising $50 or more. Fundraising is not a mandatory part of Relay Iowa, but we would love each runner to accept the challenge and ask family and friends to support this epic 339 mile run all the way across Iowa!
Relay Iowa has become a metaphor for a life well lived. It is not a race to the finish, but an extended relay of individuals journeying closely together, sustaining each other as they stretch the limits of their physical endurance, test their mental toughness and draw upon their emotional well in a place beyond their comfort zones, for the sole purpose of improving the life of another human being.
Join us on this adventure!
Relay Iowa is a 501c3 charity and is 100% volunteer run.
