I lost someone I loved very much on April 1, 2018. This May would have marked my godfather/uncle's third year fighting a rare form of plasma cell Leukemia. His illness was manageable until about 2018 when he suddenly deteriorated very quickly, to the point where speaking was impossible. As some of you might know, I have pledged, within the next year, to run a mile for every single day that my uncle, Christian Reinhard, suffered and battled Leukemia. I run in memory of him, for him, and for all of those who suffer like he did.
I have 1,050 miles to run. By donating, your money will go straight to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, whose mission is to "cure leukemia, lymphoma, and Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families." For every $5 donated, I pledge to run another mile for Leukemia this year. Please support me in remembering my uncle and in fighting this illness one mile at a time.
