Cycle for Heroes 2019 - THE LAST RIDE!
In 2016, I participated in my first Cycle for Heroes ride on the Santa Monica Pier to riase funding for wounded veterans and their families. Cycle for Heroes is a 3 hour spin ride on the the beach as the sun sets over the ocean, complete with an Air Force flyover and nothing but rock music for the entire event. Not only did I have an incredible time, but the experience was massively rewarding and inspiring.
Since that first ride, I went on to be a support rider in 2017 and had a dream to one day teach at the event. Now, I can cross that item off my bucket list. I am THRILLED to not only be participating in this wonderful charity this year, but am so excited to be one of the teachers in this truly EPIC ride!
Veterans causes have always been dear to my heart. I have three servicemen in my family: my late grandfather George Gore (WWII), my late uncle Chad Ragland (Vietnam) and my amazing cousin Charles Ragland (Afghanistan). I am so proud of these men for their service. This past summer, I decided to use my legal education to extern at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs so that I could continue to support veterans in a different capacity.
If you're interested in partaking in this truly outstanding and fun event, check out the website, or DM me! And if you're so inclined, feel free to donate. A big thank you to those who donated last year (unfortunately the event had to be postponed due to the fires in Malibu).
Much love,
Catherine xo
