The Franklin Opera House opened in 1894 and its stage has been filled by performers of all kinds, both local people and some with national reputations. After being unseen for decades, the stage was put into use again in 2000. But that original stage is a bit small for modern productions. We created an extension over the original curved wooden front of the stage. Now we'd like to replicate that original design on that extended surface, mindful of historical accuracy and preservation. Custom woodwork is not cheap! Help us achieve our goal with a generous gift, and provide a beautiful space for the newest generation of community performers.
