The Read and Succeed literacy program benefits children ages 1-10. The program distrubutes free books to mothers of infants, toddlers, and to students ages 5-10.
Our literacy program also sends out student readers and staff members to daycare's, preschools, and kindergarten classrooms to read aloud to children.
Reading aloud is an important form of stimulation, it teaches babies and toddlers, how to communicate. It helps broaden the vocabulary of older students.
When children hear more words, it helps to improve their understanding of language, and increases the number and variety of words that they understand and use. It’s not just about better language skills, talking with babies and younger students helps their brains to develop and can help children do better at school when they’re older.
Our literacy program has proven it’s effective and necessary in developing cognitive skills in babies and younger students.
Are used to purchase 1,000 books and distrbute them to daycares, preschools, and classrooms.
