What was your first fundraising experience? Maybe you started out collecting box stamps or can tabs in grade school. Or perhaps it was that booster club for your hometown football team. Maybe later in life it was that Collegiate Scholarship that is near and dear to you and your Alma Mater. How did you feel after raising your first $50, $100, or more? Now you have the chance to spread the experience.
I first heard about Run to Home Base (RTHB) when I started my journey at Raytheon in 2016. In essence, RTHB is a fantastic organization that helps veterans heal the invisible wounds of war. I loved the idea of raising money and awareness for this great cause by finishing a strong 9k on home base (literally) at Fenway Park - even if it meant going behind enemy lines having grown up as a Yankees fan. However, two summers past by and I failed two times to work up the courage and commit to the fundraising goal. I don't know why but I seemed to shy away from the challenge. This year is different. I've decided to go for it and you are part of my team!
