We believe access to veterinary care is so important! That is why in August 2020, RAVS staff and volunteers will travel to the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indian Reservation in North Dakota http://www.spiritlakenation.com/ https://tmchippewa.com/ The team of roughly 30 veterinary students and 15 professional volunteers will provide free to sterilization surgeries and general veterinary care (vaccines, dewormer, and flea/tick preventatives) to more than 1,000 animals in these remote communities where regular veterinary care is not available. In addition to general veterinary care, RAVS volunteers will care for sick and injured animals, including puppies suffering from parvovirus, porcupine quill removals, and traumatic hit-by-car injuries. While providing this important care, our volunteers and staff will be educating the families on animal care and public health, helping to make the community a better place for the animals and the people of Spirit Lake and Turtle Mountain. Donate today to help support improving access to veterinary care!
