Help us continue to support our students during the coronavirus crisis.
Rancho Cielo is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, providing diploma education, vocational training, and support services to young people in Monterey County. We solely rely on private donations to sustain our efforts.
Rancho Cielo is still operating, despite being “closed” for the pandemic.
Our committed staff are still working and providing the following services to our youth:
- Housing: Our Transitional Housing program is full of students, and our Transitional Housing staff is onsite supporting them physically, mentally, and emotionally. To stay busy, they have been going on hikes together, meditating, and helping assemble food bags for their fellow classmates.
- Food delivery: Each week, our sheltered-in-place staff calls students who have been forced to stay home by the crisis to check in and see how they are doing. We offer help if they or their families need it. This includes delivering weekly food bags! The delivery gives a staff person the opportunity to connect with each student.
- Education: Our staff has been delivering Chromebooks to our students so that they can continue their academic work towards high school diplomas. Our instructors have begun to offer distance learning via Zoom. The vocational hands-on programs have been suspended for now.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our students. Your gift will help us to be able to continue to provide shelter, food, and academic, mental, and emotional support to Rancho Cielo students on- and off-campus. Thank you!
