This International Women's Day (March 8, 2021), we are inspired to raise support and awareness for one of our favorite organizations: GRACE Nanana School & Rescue Center.
Founded and led by a courageous Kenyan woman, GRACE is a place where Maasai girls can escape the illegal but often practiced customs of early marriage and FGM to pursue education. Year-round boarding and care is provided on site for girls that can no longer safely return home. The staff and teachers are committed to educating and empowering girls to choose the life they want to live. We visit GRACE every year and are always inspired by the dedication of the GRACE community, especially their devoted leader Priscilla.
By contributing to this fundraiser for GRACE, you will be providing equitable salaries for Kenyan teachers, sponsorships for students who could otherwise not afford secondary school, and food security for the year.
We hope that you'll join us in rallying around this small-but-mighty organization, where even a modest donation can change the trajectory of a girl's life.
Here are some suggested donation levels:
• $50 provides WiFi for a month.
• $200 buys dry food for a week.
• $750 sponsors one girl to go to secondary school.
• $1,500 covers a teachers salary for one year.
• $5,000 repairs their borehole for water access (high priority).
100% of funds raised will be granted directly to GRACE Nanana. Please reach out to the Brighton Jones Richer Life Foundation at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or would like to use a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) to support GRACE Nanana.
