As a special education teacher, inclusion has has always had a very special place in my heart and this year, I will be helping to ensure inclusion is seen beyond the classroom and in sports. On October 27th 2019 I will assisting an athlete to compete in the Marine Corps Marathon! Leading up to our 26.2 mile journey together, I hope to use my platform to spread awareness of inclusion for all, in all sports.
I am beyond excited to be racing along side the Kyle Pease Foundation. With your help we can make this year even bigger! With your support, the athlete I will be paired with will be able to participate in this amazing experience. The full 3,000 covers the entire race for them. I appreciate your generosity and consideration of helping to make this athletes dream of completing a marathon come true!
Kyle Pease Foundation's mission is to create awareness and raise funds to promote success for persons with disabilities by providing assistance to meet their individual needs through sports. Programs may include scholarship opportunities, purchasing of medical equipment or adaptive sports equipment for others or contributing to other organizations that provide similar assistance to disabled persons as well as participating in educational campaigns to create awareness about Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. KPF will provide these services directly to individuals as well as to partner with other existing non-profit organizations to achieve these goals. Direct benefits will be limited to persons with disabilities who need adaptive sports equipment, mobility devices or medical care. Last year, The Kyle Pease Foundation took 28 racers to the start line along with a host of volunteers.
