Behind the bib

Boston born and based Life is Good is our founding corporate sponsor and covers 100% of our operating costs, but their generosity does not end there. In 2013, Life is Good employee and friend, John Banse was badly hurt when two bombs were detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Throughout his recovery and with the support of his family and friends, John remained focused on gratitude. The following year John successfully finished his first Boston Marathon, and ever since has donated his marathon bib to raise support for The Life is Good Playmakers, and the Races Against ACEs program was born.

As our reach has grown to more than 16,000 Playmakers around the globe, Races Against ACEs has too. Countless optimists have laced up their sneakers to help kids in need.
