Happy New Year! Here I am again asking for your support. As many of you know, my brother Matt was diagnosed with MS in May of 2003 and for the past 15 years I have done fundraising in some way or another to help find a cure for MS. I have walked for days, planned races, chaired events and I am tired! But not as tired as someone living with MS and this year is no different. On Sunday I will start training for the NYC half which I will be running as a fundraiser to help find a cure for MS. The race will take place on March 17 from Brooklyn to Central Park (if you are in NYC - I love a good cheering section!). This year, not only are my mom and I asking for support, my daughter Hannah has decided to fundraise with us too. Earlier this year Hannah was Bat Mitzvahed and chose the Nancy Davis Foundation as her Mitzvah project and she would like to continue to fundraise until we find a cure!
Over the years I have learned a lot about MS and which organizations provide research. I was thrilled when I came across the Nancy Davis foundation and the Race to Erase MS Race to Erase MS is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis. Funding research is the core focus of the Foundation and all funds raised support our Center Without Walls program, a selected network of the nation’s top MS research centers. This nationwide collaboration of physicians and scientists are on the cutting-edge of innovative research programs, working as a team on therapeutic approaches to eradicate MS. In addition to combating MS through research in a clinical environment, they increase awareness by educating the public about this mystifying disease.
Here is where you come in, I am once again asking for your support. I am forever grateful for all you have donated over the past 15 years, and I will continue to ask for your support until we find a cure. You can donate here: https://tinyurl.com/y77puewe
Every penny helps!
Thank you again.
Love,
Rachel
