Now that the NY Marathon thing is out of the way - Finished at 3:55:10, not bad but could've been better - Now it's time to run for GLWD.
I run this race for the GLWD cause, and the memory of my brother, Vincent (Jimmy), who worked with GLWD's founder and was a part of the organization from the 1980's until just a few years before his passing in 2017. God's Love We deliver provides meals for homebound people with AIDS, and in recent years to more and more people that simply can't afford a decent meal.
The 4 Mile Race, which I first ran in 2017, and inspired me to join New York Road Runners, will be on Sunday, November 24 - three weeks after I run the NY Marathon.
If you believe as I do that no one should suffer needlessly or go hungry, please pledge whatever you can, and I will proudly give the best effort that I can.
I'm pictured after last year's run with Karen Pearl, CEO of GLWD (right), and the reigning Miss Universe - Demi Leigh Nel - Peters (who has since married Tim Tebow)
