Dear Family and Friends,
Imagine yourself driving down the highway, and as you see the mile makers whiz by you, you know that the end is near as your destination approaches. For someone with Parkinson’s, those mile markers keep passing by, the quick flash of green and they don’t stop as there is not an exit, no destination in sight.
My father has been a Parkinson’s warrior for over ten years. As he navigates daily life, his determination does not waiver. And neither does the love and support from his family and friends.
I chose to join the Purple Community’s Team Hope, to train and run the Chicago Marathon, and my pledge is to raise over $1,000. The most amazing part of the money raised is that it goes directly to the Van Andel Institute’s research to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
Unfortunately, due to an ankle injury during training, I am not able to run the race. However, I am committed to raising the money that I pledged to do. Please join me in the fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease by donating to VAI and the amazing work and progress that they are making.
Love - Nicole
