Queen needs our help! Please donate today to this beautiful pup’s medical fund!
“Queen is one of the sweetest animals I have ever met, truly. She loves everyone she meets. Just yesterday she spent the morning hanging out in our cubicle; when she wasn't sitting next to someone putting her head in their lap to get in some snuggles, she was sitting at the gate saying 'hi' to each person that passed.” –Oakland Animal Services Staff
You’d never know it from her loving demeanor, but sweet Queen, who only wants to climb into your lap (she doesn’t mind that it’s a little too small for her!), is in constant pain. You see, this sweet 4-year-old pittie arrived at the shelter with a slight limp that the vet suspects is a torn cruciate ligament, which causes her to cry out when her affected leg is handled. She is currently getting painkillers for her constant pain, but without surgery, her condition will worsen, likely leading to arthritis and catastrophic injury to her leg.
We want to give this amazing “lapdog” a happy, pain-free future that is full of love—but we need your help to do it! The surgery that can fix Queen’s leg will cost approximately $6000. Please, if you can, help us come together as a community to raise enough money to help our beautiful girl. Your gift of any size will help make the difference!
This gift will not only heal Queen’s pain, it will give her the best possible chance of finding her forever family, which, sadly might otherwise be a long shot for a pit bull in need of expensive medical care.
Please donate to Queen’s fund today!
P.S. We believe our FOAS supporters will come through for Queen! After Queen’s surgery (fingers crossed), she will be ready to go home with her forever person—could it be you? If you are interested in adopting volunteer favorite Queen, please email oasfostering@gmail.com.
UPDATE: We have met our goal of raising $6000 for Queen's surgery! We've raised our fundraising goal to $8000--any additional donations will go to our medical fund to help animals like Queen in the future--with your support, we can provide our animals with the veterinary care that will give them the best possibl chance of a long, healthy life with a loving family!
