Hey guys!! Our names are Kelly and Alyssa, and we are running the Queen Bee Half marathon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
About 609,640 Americans are expected to die of cancer in 2018, which translates to about 1,670 deaths per day. Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, exceeded only by heart disease. It is time to make someday today, which is why we are asking for your financial support in our endeavor. We are running 13.1 miles together this October in honor of every person who has been affected by cancer, specifically for Tina Kneidinger, Alyssa's aunt who recently was diagnosed with stomach cancer and Ken Murawski, Kelly's father who passed away four years ago from leukemia.
Our goal is to raise $7,000, all of which will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, by the half marathon on October 13, 2018. Any contribution you can make helps tremendously. Thank you for taking the time to read about why we are racing and we hope you join us in this fight.
