Queen of the Rosary Catholic Academy is a co-ed elementary school for Nursery through 8th grade students in Brooklyn. It was established in 2010 and builds on the traditions of the schools affiliated with the parishes of St. Nicholas and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Founded in 1865 by the Sisters of St. Dominic, Amityville, NY, St. Nicholas School has a long history of academic excellence in the Williamsburg community.
Each year the school hosts a Walk-a-Thon to fundraise for its many needs and initiatives. This year, it will take place on May 14, 2019 and continues to be an exciting kickoff to the end of the school year. For this academic year, we set an on-line goal of $5,000 to help the school meet general obligations and new programming efforts to the curriculum. Some successes include: the integration of Mathletics, students participating in coding through Code.org, and the use of Reading Plus (an online adaptive reading program) for our young scholars.
The academy remains grateful to any and all those who share this link and help support our efforts to provide an enriching and appropriately challenging academic life for our students, present and future.
