THE STORY: On November, 2-3 2018, a group of crazy young professionals (myself included) will participate in Ragnar Napa Valley. What is a Ragnar, you might be asking yourself? It's like a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant, but with a lot of running! It is the overnight running relay race that makes testing your limits a team sport.
Teams are made up of 12 individuals; each individual runs 3 legs. The legs of the race vary in difficulty and distance, from 3-8 miles, allowing elite and novice runners to run together. Over 2 days and 1 night, our two teams will run about 200 miles from San Francisco, CA to Napa Valley.
In case you were wondering our "riesling" for this campaign, each of the 12 team members has committed to a goal of raising $100 in support of Code.org. We are excited to be raising money for this nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing the participation of women and underrepresented minorities. They do this by providing the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the US. The vision is that every student in every school will have the opportunity to learn computer science in the same way they learn biology or algebra.
We appreciate your support!
