At KOAHUSA.org, we think every day should be Military Child Appreciation Day! Luckily, April is completely dedicated to honoring and supporting our Military-connected Kids. Beginning April 13, 2018 (National Purple Up day the color associated with all branches of our military) and running through April 30, 2019 we want you to be part of our year long challenge and Purple Up.
Let’s create a purple wave across America to let MilKids know they are not forgotten.
1. Get all your coworkers together wearing purple, collect $5 from each person and donate, take a picture or video of your group, post it to your social media site and tag another office. (They're up to wear purple, donate, tag and post.)
2. If you are not employed and just want to support, take a selfie and hit the donate button and make a difference. Make sure you share it across your social media.
*minimum $10.00 donation
*Each donation goes towards our goal of creating Student Liaison Officers in non-military school districts. (The role of the SLO is to provide information, resources, and referrals to military families).
Purple Up to draw attention to the needs of military connected children. Whether their parents are actively serving, in a guard or reserve unit, or have totally separated from service, all military connected children need our nation’s support and love. Let’s honor the sacrifice and service of the Kids of America’s Heroes
