Yo chapelboro (and beyond) fam!
I'm raising money for OCRCS (Orange County Rape Crisis Center) because they do the things for our community that we all want to do, and all talk about doing, but don't have the time or means to actually do. They provide the resources and support to continue making our town a safe space for everyone, and we're privileged to have such an active organization in our community.
What I want: your money to go to them. Yes, I'm just asking for money, and I know that's a lot to ask. But we can do it.
What you get: on Saturday, August 10, Punk Cuts to End Rape happens at local 506 at 8pm. Music, live auctions, and live punk haircuts on stage for those who meet their fundraising goals. Free admission. And, y'all, if you donate, I'll be taking a survey on here for how y'all want my hair to be cut. It's up to you. Do your worst, my friends and enemies. It's for a good cause.
Btw- FB and PayPal don't take a fee away from your donations, so 100% of what you donate goes exactly where it should- to fight rape and shave heads. Click the link below to donate via my Facebook campaign
Give money for a good cause, and tell me what my hair will look like next month 👌
Every 98 seconds a person is raped in the United States. That's really f*cked up.
The dedicated staff and volunteers at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center devote countless hours to solving the problem of sexual violence in our community through support, education and advocacy. We believe that it it possible to end rape, but it will take more than a handful of staff and volunteers. Giving to the Punk Cuts to End Rape Challenge is a small but important way that you can show up for change.
This is our 7th year. That means we have to raise $7,000 according to the fundraising science. These local badasses have issued a challenge to their friends and family this month: Donate and I'll SHAVE MY HAIR! These awesome people set a personal fundraising goal. Once they reach it, they get a free punk cut in the style of thier choice-- but it will involve clippers.
