When I graduated from John Carroll University in May, I knew I was ending a chapter and beginning a new journey as a recent college graduate. While it was difficult leaving the familiar; John Carroll University, friends, and family, I decided to join the PULSE program in Pittsburgh, PA.
PULSE cultivates a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh. They invite recent, college graduates (like myself) to partner with local nonprofits for a year of service and leadership. I got excited about the PULSE program because of my love for both the non-profit world and serving others.
I am looking forward to learning how to lead and serve in the non-profit sector. My hope for the year is to not only grow as an individual through service, but to gain the experience, education, and leadership necessary to launch my own non-profit.
