After graduating from The College of Wooster in May, I have decided to join the PULSE program in Pittsburgh, PA.
PULSE cultivates a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh. They invite recent, college graduates (like myself) to partner with local nonprofits for a year of service and leadership. I got excited about the PULSE program because it gives me an opportunity to give back and serve a community, while gaining valuable experience working at a non-profit organization.
I am looking forward to having an opportunity to grow in a new environment as well as work and live alongside fellow recent graduates. I am also looking forward to furthering my personal and professional development through this year with PULSE. I am very excited for this next step in my life, I expect the year to be challenging, but extremely rewarding as I work in my non-profit organization. My hope for the year is to learn and accomplish as much as possible while serving in my new Pittsburgh community.
Part of my first task as a PULSE participant is to assemble a team of people who will support me in this work. I realize that I can’t do this work alone, that I need others to come alongside me and partner with me.
Would you please consider supporting me in this work? I am in the process of raising a minimum of $2500 to cover the basic expenses for this year of service and leadership, including supporting the costs which feed me and give me a living stipend. Your support will help impact the lives of Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable. Any amount, no matter how small or large will go a long way towards helping me meet this goal! Thank you so much!
